Fresh off the BringitBack Stage at the Vans Warped Tour 2012, all of these artists have headed back to the lab and are making brand new music for new projects for 2013. Please take a few minutes to look over the links below.
Skate/Snow Tour 2013
In January, while you can find kids riding the powder that is piling up in the mountains, you’ll still find kids skating under the sun across the southwest United States. 2013 kicks off in style with the introduction of the BringitBack 50/50 Skate/Snow Tour! Bringing back the elements of hip hop to the skate parks and ski resort towns across the western U.S. Kicking off the road to Vans Warped Tour, the BIBT team is hitting the road with nationally touring hip hop artists; Prime Element, Subkulture Patriots, Oso Slick, and FouNTHead, with the possible addition of legendary international touring artists such as; Aceyalone, Opio, and upcoming Rhymesayers artists; Grieves, Blueprint, and P.O.S. in select markets. The support underground hip hop has always gotten from the skate and snow sports culture has been a driving force in the support for upcoming hip hop artists. As much as the music and the elements are art, so too is grinding on metal coping or carving into 10 inches of fresh snow.
Having been the only 100% independent hip hop stage at the Vans Warped Tour for the past 5 years, BringitBack has established a movement through a network of artists across the United States. Even though its mostly punk rock and metal at the tour, hip hop has always had a presence at the Vans Warped Tour and continues to be well received. The Vans Warped Tour is as much about music, as it is the skateboarding and Xtreme sports communities. In the early 2000′s you could still find skateboard, bmx bikes and more on vert pipes at the Warped Tour.
Who We Are: BringitBack is not only the tour’s title and main slogan; it’s everything the movement stands for! Bringing hip hop fans and the community back to a grassroots connections with its four father elements: Break-dancing, Graffiti, Turntablism, and Emceeing: and adding the support of local business, education, and charity organizations.
In 2013 BringitBack is looking to continue that presence and becoming further established with Xtreme sports enthusiasts and athletes by bringing our program to their doorstep. Representing for all the elements at outdoor events at skate parks across the west coast and southwest United States, we are giving kids an opportunity to witness and even be a part of 2 cultures coming together at their hometown skate park. As well as teaming up with local non-profits and charities to involve community support.
Far removed from the skate parks of cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Fransisco, lie the ski/snowboard communities of the United states. The ski and snowboard culture in cities like Steamboat Springs, Co., and Park City, UT., have proven a strong support for well known hip hop artists for many years. BringitBack is bringing the art and culture of live art and hip hop into these communities, some for the first time. Prime Element(Denver) have toured the ski and snowboard towns of the Rocky Mountains and continue to return every winter. Whereas Oso Slick(NorCal) has toured up and down the west coast and has a strong presence in the skateboard community. New comers SubKulture Patriots(Austin, Tx.) and Fountnhead(Atlanta, Ga.) have held down their home states and are looking forward to bringing their high energy shows to the western United States.
